The Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine at King’s College London (KCL) is one of the largest and most successful centres for research and education in the UK, with extensive global partnerships.
The Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education (CMKP/CPME) is an independent public institution established over 50 years ago. It plays a fundamental role in the system of postgraduate medical education in Poland, launching nearly 1400 courses each year for over 40,000 trainees, mostly medical doctors. CPME conducts teaching and scholarly activities in nearly 90 establishments located in Warsaw and its vicinity. In addition to scholarly activities, CPME’s objectives include initiating and carrying out research activities, developing and updating specialty curricula, accrediting units providing specialty training, conducting proceedings for recognition of qualifications for medical specialties, and maintaining registers of specializing doctors and training bodies.
CMKP conducts the intervention study in the first 1000 days in Poland by recruiting pregnant women, introducing a multicomponent behavioural intervention to reduce the exposure to EDCs and carrying out the follow up of the mothers and their infants.
The HYPIEND Project will be conducted collaboratively by the 2nd Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology located in Warsaw Institute of Women’s Health, alongside the CPME Department of Lifestyle Medicine at the School of Public Health.
