About Sciensano
Sciensano is a public Belgian research institution that builds on the more than 100 years of scientific expertise from the former Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre (CODA-CERVA) and the ex-Scientific Institute of Public Health (WIV-ISP).
Sciensano can count on more than 900 staff members who are committed to human and animal health every day. Sciensano’s strength and uniqueness lie within the holistic and multidisciplinary approach to health. In particular, Sciensano combines different research perspectives within the framework of the “One health” concept, focussed on the interconnection between human and animal health and their environment.
CONTRIBUTION TO HYPIEND
Sciensano is involved in the interventional study work in the HYPIEND project. In particular, Sciensano will participate in the development and implementation of the study in prepubertal children in relation to EDCs and will perform human risk assessment for the exposure to EDCs.
