HYPIEND Digital Tool
ABOUT HYPIEND DIGITAL TOOL
Supporting families in reducing exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals
The HYPIEND Digital Tool (HDT) is a mobile application developed within the HYPIEND project as part of a multicomponent intervention designed to help parents reduce their family’s exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) during the perinatal period and early childhood.
The HDT complements educational workshops and telephone follow-ups, acting as a practical, easy-to-use companion for initiating and maintaining behavioural changes in daily routines. It guides users in adopting protective habits regarding plastics, personal care products, textiles, cleaning products, and other consumer goods that may contain EDCs.
By integrating evidence-based behaviour change strategies, personalised guidance, and interactive features, the HDT supports long-term adherence, enhances awareness of EDC risks, and contributes to the research objectives of the HYPIEND project.
