
The HYPIEND partner KU Leuven hosted the 6th European Conference on Preconception Health and Care “Nurturing new beginnings” in Leuven, Belgium, from 19-20 September 2024. During this multidisciplinary conference, the HYPIEND lifestyle interventions and the research on endocrine disruptors effect in preconception and fertility were showcased by members of KU Leuven and Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP).
The HYPIEND project was featured in the poster titled “Reducing Exposure to Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals in Pregnant and Lactating Women: The HYPIEND Perinatal Randomized Controlled Trial” by Cedric Moulin, from KU Leuven. In addition, the project’s research was also mentioned during a breakout session on Early Nutrition, with a presentation titled “The Role of Endocrine Disruptors in Preconception and Fertility.”, by Inés Velasco López, from IGTP.

The conference covered key topics, including lifestyle interventions, public health strategies, and interpregnancy care.
