Partner from CMKP presents HYPIEND project at the conference “Lifestyle Medicine for Longevity” 2024

HYPIEND partner Alicja Baska, MD from Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education (CMKP/CPME) presented the project at the 2nd Scientific Conference “Lifestyle Medicine for Longevity: Blue Zones Inspiration” held in Poznan, Poland, on May 23-24, 2024.

Dr. Baska’s presentation provided an overview of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and strategies to limit exposure to them. She also presented the HYPIEND Project and its aims on understanding and preventing the impacts of EDCs.

CMKP’s Department of Lifestyle Medicine and Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology based at Warsaw Institute of Women’s Health, conducts the HYPIEND’s intervention study in the first 1000 days in Poland. They are in charge of recruiting pregnant women, introducing a multicomponent behavioural intervention to reduce the exposure to EDCs, and carrying out the follow up of the mothers and their infants.
