The first ENKORE workshop brings together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts to explore the use of the Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) framework in understanding and assessing the impacts of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (and other compounds).
This open workshop welcomes participants from the five ENKORE sister projects and anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of AOPs, from newcomers to experienced users and developers.
The program features leading international speakers from the Society for the Advancement of Adverse Outcome Pathways (SAAOP), OECD – OCDE, USEPA or the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, and academic institutions, covering topics that range from the basics of AOP development to quantitative approaches, AI tools, and real-world regulatory applications.
The full programme runs for a total of 5 hours, but participants may register only for the sessions most relevant to their expertise and interests.
Through a series of focused sessions, participants will gain insight into:
- The fundamentals of the AOP framework and OECD coaching initiatives
- Innovative methods (AI, omics) that support development and use
- Methods to improve regulatory significance of an AOP
- Success stories highlighting how AOPs support scientific and regulatory decision-making
- Ongoing AOP-related research within the ENKORE cluster

About ENKORE
ENKORE is a collaborative cluster of five EU-funded research projects under the HORIZON-HLTH-2023-ENVHLTH-02-03 call, “Health impacts of endocrine-disrupting chemicals: bridging science-policy gaps by addressing persistent scientific uncertainties.”
The cluster, composed of EDC-MASLD, ENDOMIX, HYPIEND, MERLON, and NEMESIS, works to enhance synergies, foster collaboration, and maximize the societal and policy impact of research on endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
Together, ENKORE projects advance understanding of how EDCs affect human health and contribute to shaping evidence-based policies to reduce harmful exposures and protect vulnerable populations.
