IGTP presents HYPIEND at the 47th Congress of the Foundation of the Spanish Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (FSEEP)

Paula Sol Ventura, researcher at IGTP, presented a poster titled “HYPIEND European Project: Understanding and preventing the impact of endocrine disruptors in vulnerable populations”

On May 29, 2025, HYPIEND partners from Germans Trias I Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) presented the project at the 47th Congress of the Foundation of the Spanish Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (FSEEP), held from May 28 to 30 in Madrid, Spain.

Paula Sol Ventura, researcher at IGTP, presented a poster titled “HYPIEND European Project: Understanding and preventing the impact of endocrine disruptors in vulnerable populations”, co-authored by Francesca Castiello, Paula Sol Ventura, Anna Sala, Raquel Rodríguez, Inés Velasco and Marta Ocaña.

The poster introduces what endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are, how they interfere with the endocrine system, particularly the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, and why they pose a bigger risk during key development stages. It also outlines the project’s approach to studying these effects, and showcases the lifestyle intervention studies in perinatal and prepubertal populations designed to delineate strategies to reduce EDCs exposure.

Under the theme “Advancing Towards Precision Medicine”, the 47th FSEEP Congress have developed the scientific program aimed at exploring emerging topics and deepening understanding of the most prevalent pediatric endocrinology conditions. The event served as a valuable platform for experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and discuss scientific progress in the field.
