The Prepubertal team from the HYPIEND partner Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) presented the project at the III Jornada de Salut Mediambiental Pediàtrica (3rd Pediatric Environmental Health Day), held in Olot, Spain, on May 23, 2025.
Paula Sol Ventura, Marta Ocaña and Anna Sala, researchers at IGTP, delivered a talk entitled “Understanding and preventing the impact of endocrine disruptors in sensitive populations”. They outlined the project’s objectives and methodology, focusing on targeted intervention strategies aimed at preventing exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) during vulnerable stages of development.
The event, held biennially, is organized by the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit of Garrotxa (PEHSU), the Territorial Pediatric Team of Garrotxa, and the Fundació Hospital d’Olot i Comarcal de la Garrotxa. It brings together healthcare professionals and members of the public to share knowledge and strategies for improving children’s health in relation to environmental factors.
